Przypadek, I don't think so.
I thought quite by accident, that it would be nice to run in the jubilee race 50 Berlin Marathon, and that they allowed teams of two – that's how we registered (without counting on anything). How surprised we were, when we received the message, that they chose us – we're going to Berlin!
31 marathon on the counter.
Tradycyjnie – without preparation, training and thermal foil, we stood at the start of the greatest marathon of all time. Only, when I felt 4 degrees Celsius I realized, that it's probably ours “the coldest” maraton!
54 280 runners at the finish line (zapisanych 58 000), this makes a big WOW. They took care of the organization, there was no shortage of water, medal, ponchos, the buffets were full. The route is secured and marked, although they won't beat Paris at the Olympics with barriers 42 km. The runners themselves were a bit of a nuisance, but I'm more or less familiar with running in crowds.
The route is quite interesting, favored runners, a lot of fans. However, fan points were better in Boston, La or Paris, and I missed self-organization a bit, that they would distribute “Power”.
In general, everything was a big plus, However, we will not decide to take part in the Berlin Marathon for the second time.
I'm happy with the time, the weather and temperature were very favorable for running. This is my best result this year, and actually in a long time. 21 I flew kilometers, I don't know when. From 30 km, with increasing surprise, I watched them overtake me at a sprinting pace, a 5 km to the finish line was crazy. I wondered what they all ate, that they are rushing like that, while I drag myself along with the last of my strength.
