Palm Beach, FL

We lived in Palm Beach, from the Ocean side

Its name is the island (and the city) owes it to the disaster of a Spanish sailing ship “Providence” in 1878 years. As a result, the beaches were covered with thousands of coconuts transported from Trinidad to Cadiz. 33 years later, in 1911, when Palm Beach obtained city rights, the island was a large palm grove.

The competition and running town was located in West Palm Beach, originally conceived as a housing estate for hotel staff and Palm Beach residence services.

I tak, to “palm beach” it's luxurious. Accumulation of RR, Lamborghini, Maserati and other luxury cars per square kilometer is probably one of the largest. And these cars are used to buy donations from the bakery, not to show them off on the street. The residences are stunning, they are huge in various styles and look better than in the best catalogs. Suffice it to mention, that at the Mar-a-Lago mansion, Donald Trump lives.

We wanted to respect the owners' privacy and did not take photos. Those located on the ocean side have private access to the beach, occasionally they are fenced with a wall, and in the gardens with swimming pools there are huge sculptures by famous artists.

Delving into “settlements” we stated, it's hard to be a pedestrian here – there are no sidewalks. There are no fences either, and the decor, the facade is sparkling clean and the grass is incredibly green and cut to millimeters.

We had to look for and use the few public entrances to the beaches.

On the other side “islands” there is a walking path from the canal side – bicycle, crowded with fit locals.

I guess I wasn't really aware of what this place was like. And I admit it, I have never seen such splendor and luxury in my life, which is the order of the day here. However, I didn't feel embarrassed or overwhelmed, or rather homely. This is not a tourist town, a quiet place to live. The hustle and bustle of the city and tourists stay in Miami.
Our walk along the oceanfront beach turned out to be very lonely, because no one does it here.

We went on a cruise towards the sunset

We tried to take advantage of all the moments and see, experience as much as possible.

Stay on “crumb” Florida turned out to be very successful, The United States continues to amaze and delight me.
