4 RunKayakBike took place once in Wieruszów and thanks to luck we could do it again 4 take part in our favorite and one so far TRI competition.

Scheduled on the original date 21 August, the competition did not take place due to warnings regarding. rivers floods. We were not registered for them, because at that time the competition was taking place L'Etape Slovakia, which we went to. RunKayakBike has been postponed to 11 September and we managed to sign up and take off!

Due to the forecasted intense rainfall, start, the finish line and the change zone were set in a tent next to the Sports Stadium in Wieruszów.

The first stage of the competition was over 6 km run, mostly dirt roads, forest and asphalt. The second stage was cycling. 15 km cross route was very demanding, it was additionally hampered by rainfall, forming puddles and mud. Third stage approx. 3 km concerned kayaking on the Prosna River. The water level on the river was high, so the players had to be especially careful at this stage of the competition. It was on the canoes that the competitors crossed the finish line.

Bicycle route, especially in the middle was a real challenge. I have never ridden such mud in my life, puddles and boggy terrain. Once I almost fell into a ditch but I managed to brake at the last minute and paid for it with a few bruises. I was running up the hill with the bike on asphalt fragments, I was racing like a whirlwind and I even managed to overtake two competitors.
I ran to the kayak as 2 kobieta. The river was impressive, high water and strong current.

This year the competition was fierce and the amount terrified me “professional triathletes” in professional outfits with bicycles with shoes on… The core of the players, however, were regulars, having a healthy approach to RunKayakBike. I still treat this competition as a great challenge and fun. This year, completing the route was real “mageddon”.

At the finish line, the ceremonial presentation of medals by the mayor awaited, chats with friends from four editions of RKB, recovery meal and decorations.
