Aruba

Day 1 in 39 km of sun

Another marathon on a long list to run.

We waited impatiently for the opening of the island and information about the registration. We managed to fly without testing, masks at airports on airplanes and in the complete absence of restrictions on the island.

Constant year-round temperature is nominal 30 degrees Celsius by day (real comes to 37) in 26 (30) at night with constant wind 30 km / h.

Aruba - a dependent territory of the Netherlands and one of the islands of the volcanic archipelago of the Lesser Antilles, closing the Caribbean Sea from the east. Aruba has an area of almost 179 km²

And what is there to write a lot about the island really is “paradise”. The water sparkles with all shades of blue and turquoise, the sand is white and fine like flour. Due to its proximity to the USA, it is a favorite destination of Americans and thanks to them, their openness and approach is surprisingly friendly ONE HAPPY ISLAND.
Z powodu szalonych cen hoteli przy plażach wynajęliśmy pokój w centrum Oranjestad i na start/metę mieliśmy 8 km.

On the first day of our stay, we went over and over 30 km along the beaches:
Eagle Beach, Palm Beach, Hadicurari Beach, Malmok Beach, Boca Catalina Beach
bathing and snorkeling, getting to know the island and practically covering most of the running route.

The sun did not spare us. We received starter packs: traditionally for “exotics” consisted of a cotton T-shirt, number and staples. There wasn't even a bag – everything was going to “paws”. I did not count on the wealth of the package, although the sponsors of the run are not poor, this time they have exaggerated it with this modesty. The more, that after party, that is, the famous beach parties after the run were also paid – that is, they issued a price list for food and drink, and if you wanted to, you had to buy it.
