On 24-26 July, the Capital City of Warsaw and the Capital Sports Center ACTIVE WARSAW, the initiator of the Warsaw Running Triad "Zabiegaj o Pamięć" organized the only official RUN OF THE WARSAW Uprising in accordance with the prevailing requirements in a virtual version. I took advantage of this fact and the free registration!
I ran the VIRTUAL RUN OF THE WARSAW Uprising in Park Grabiszyński in Wrocław.
I chose this place for a run commemorating the Warsaw insurgents and the heroic residents fighting for their capital in 1944 year because it is marked by war history.
At that time, the city was German and the park was a necropolis, which is now commemorated with the Monument of Common Memory.
There is also an Italian Soldiers Cemetery and a hill in the park, where the Cemetery of Polish Soldiers is located.
